Yoga with Tammy Z- Saturdays, November 2, 16 & 30 @ 11 a.m.
Classes are held in the Library Program Room
Ms. Tammy Ziccardi will lead you through her very welcoming and positive 60 minute yoga classes.
These classes are set up to introduce you to the common poses practiced in yoga. All levels welcome!
Class meets in the library program room. Cost is $5 per class. Please register at the front desk or over the phone, as space is limited (maximum of 12 students per session). You can prepay at the front desk to guarentee your spot, or pay the day of if space is still available.
Murder and Mayhem Mystery Book Club - Monday Nov. 4 from 1-3 p.m.
Do you love Mystery Books? Then join us for our monthly book club meeting. New members always welcome!
Bring a friend or two to join in the fun - good books, lively discussion, free snacks and beverages.
Group meets the first Monday afternoon of every month (unless it's a holiday). Copies of the book are available at the front desk each month.

There are 15 free copies available to keep for those wishing to participate this month, thanks to a very generous donation by the Mary S. Bieseck Public Library in Somerset, Pa.
Fall Wise Walk - Wednesdays, Nov. 6 & 13 @ 9:30 a.m.
Anyone is able to join in the fun for this walking program.
Meet directly at South Park, and walk at your own pace.
Wear comfortable dress shoes, and bring your own water.
Group meets at the parking lot near the children's playground on Corrigan Drive.

Ukulele Club with Peggy Krall - Every Thursday from 1-3 p.m.
The Ukulele Club meets weekly in the Pleasant Hills Library program room. The group invites all who play or want to learn to play the ukulele to join in the fun!
All skill levels welcome.
B.Y.O.U.S. - Bring Your Own Uke and a Smile!
Any new members in need of instruction, please plan to arrive at 12:45 each week. There will be a brief lesson taught by Peggy Krall, and you are more than welcome to stay and play and join in with the rest of the group.
Holiday Themed Wine Bottle Craft - Thursday, Nov. 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m..
Gypsy Artistry, a traveling pop-up crafting studio based in the Greater Pittsburgh area, will return to offer another fun and creative DIY workshop.
This will also be a fundraiser for the library, which we greatly appreciate!
This time we will be transforming an empty wine bottle into a beautiful light for your home.

All supplies and instructions provided. All participants must register and pay in advance, no walk-ins permitted.
Workshop is $27 plus tax.

Pleasant Hills Public Library Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser Event
Saturday, Nov. 9 from 7-9 PM.
"A Taste of Italy"
Featuring a variety of Italian wines picked by Wine Specialist,Dave Kuiawa,
from the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store in Pleasant Hills.
Also, enjoy appetizers generously donated by Vocelli's of Pleasant Hills and
Live music from the very talented Lako Sisters of Pleasant Hills.
Local vendors will be on site selling art and jewelry.
We will also have Gift Basket raffles, 50/50 drawing, and more!
Tickets are $30 now/$40 at the door.
The Scribes Sanctuary: A Writer's Group - Tuesday, November 12 from 6-7:30 p.m.
The Scribe's Sanctuary is an open group set up to ignite your natural Creative Writing talents in an encouraging and supportive environment. Offer and receive support and encouragement to other writers in all genre and writing levels. Newcomers always welcome!
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month in the program room, which is located on the lower level of the library.

Coffee and Coloring - Wednesday, November 13 from 1-2 p.m.

It's relaxing, stress relieving, and a fun way to spend an hour. Join us in the Adult Reading Area of the library for our adult coloring sessions.
We'll provide the coffee, coloring books, and colored pencils - or feel free to bring your own.

Miniatures with Jim Allan - Thursday, Nov. 14 @ 6:30 p.m.
Jim Allan is a local artist who builds miniature structures of many locations and building types. Come and learn about his creative process, see the tools and supplies he uses, and the exquisite detail of a few finished products. You'll be amazed at his creativity and talent!
If you came to his first presentation back in June, you’ll be happy to know he is bringing
new art work with him this time.

Beginner Genealogy Lesson - Saturday, Nov. 16 from 3-5:30 p.m.
Description: Taught by guest instructor, Teena Hintz, learn about the basics of Genealogy.
Learn how to use the online resources available at the library - Ancestry.com (free Library Edition), Familysearch.org, and others.
The program will start with a brief discussion covering online databases, charts and tools, including DNA matching. Then, after the library closes, we will search for information on the library computers with guided help from instructor.
Bring a flash drive. Printing and Wifi for laptops also available. Limited class size, please register in advance.
Healthy Minds Luncheon Series - Monday Oct. 21 at 12 p.m.
Join us for the third and final part of this three part behavioral health and wellness workshop, facilitated by Will Davies, Behavioral Health Program Supervisor, from the Allegheny Health Network, Jefferson Hospital Counseling Services.
The purpose of this three part workshop is to improve overall wellness through the opporunity for learning, practicing and reflection upon the connections between the body and the mind.
Session 3 (Nov. 18): Healthy Mindful Emotions- Once thoughts have been recognized and healthy habits have been increased, it is time to address the emotions that can drive us back into unhealthy habits and thoughts. An interactive discussion about skills to appropriately address emotions will be presented and practiced. End with completing the final step in the action plan which is to pratice skills that lead to mindful awareness.
The session will start at 12 p.m. with free lunch provided by the library, or BYO if needed or preferred.
Workshop presentation begins at 12:30 p.m.
