Conversation Salon 

Friday, December 6 from 1-3 p.m.

Enjoy good company and pleasant conversation. Light refreshments provided.

Group meets the first Friday of every month in the library program room.

The Scribe's Sanctuary: A Writer's Group 

Tuesday, December 10 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

A Writer's Group open to all who are looking to Offer and receive support from other writers from all genres in a supportive and encouraging environment. 

All genres and writing levels welcome to attend.  

The group meets the second Tuesday of every month in the library program room.

Writing prompt for December's meeting: Pretend to be the moon; Instead of writing from an earthly perspective, write as though the moon is speaking to us on earth.

It will also be the groups Christmas Party and everyone in attendance is asked to bring a treat to share with the group. 

Yoga with Tammy Z @ the Borough Building 

Wednesdays, December 11 & 18 @ 9:45 a.m.

Enjoy a welcoming and positive 60 minute yoga class.

All levels invited to participate.  $5 per class.

Coffee and Coloring

Wednesday, December 11 @ 1 p.m.

Coloring isn't just for kids!

It's a relaxing and fun way to spend an hour.

We will provide the coffee (and other hot beverages) along with the coloring books and pencils.

Or feel free to bring your own!  Everyone welcome. 

We meet in the adult reading area on the main floor of the library 

the second Wednesday of the month.

UnWind: A Knitting and Crocheting Club

Wednesday, December 11 @ 7 p.m.

Learn basic knitting and crocheting skills or come and work on your current project.

Newcomers always welcome to join the fun!

The group meets on the lower level of the library at the tables outside of the program room.

Holiday Lunch and Concert

Thursday, December 12  @ NOON

Join us in the Library Program Room for a free lunch followed by a holiday performance by the  the Ukulele Club!

Lunch menu: Hawaiian pizza (pineapple, ham, bacon); sub samples; spinach salad, brownie bites      All of which is being generously donated by Vocelli Pizza of Pleasant Hills!

Everyone welcome.

Evening Book Discussion Club

Copies of the book are available at the library front desk for anyone wishing to participate.

Intro to Virtual Reality

Wednesday December 18 from 6-8 p.m.

Welcome to the World of Virtual Reality!

We are thrilled to introduce our new Oculus Quest Virtual Reality Equipment now available at the Pleasant Hills Public Library.

Come and experience the excitement of Virtual Reality. 

Registration Required. Sign up for a 15 minute time slot at the library front desk (in person or                call 412-655-2424)

At this time, the equipment can only be used by adult patrons or teens aged 13+.

Everyone must sign a waiver before using the equipment. Anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent/guardian to sign their waiver.

This equipment was made possible by a generous grant  by the Jefferson Regional Foundation.            We thank them for their continued support of our library!

More sessions will be available in January.

Pleasant Hills Library will CLOSE at 5 p.m. on December 23, 2019.

Remain CLOSED Tuesday through Thursday, December 24-26, 2019

Reguar hours on Friday, December 27: 10am-4pm & Saturday, December 28:  9am-4pm
