Bread Making Video by Lauryn Cessar Sacha

We've got a simply delicious bread recipe to share with you today!

Original Recipe by Sharon Henning. 

  • 4 oz warm water (105-110 degrees) 
  • 1 1/2 pkg active dry yeast 
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar 
  • 1 1/2 cups warm mile (105-110 degrees) 
  • 4 Tbsp sugar 
  • 3 Tbsp butter melted 
  • 1 3/4 tsp salt 
  • 4-5 cups bread flour 

Mix water, yeast and 1/2 tsp sugar together, let proof 8 minutes.

Put milk, sugar, salt, and melted butter in mixing bowl, stir well.
Add proofed yeast and 3 cups flour. Mix until smooth.
Add another 1 cup of flour. Mix. Add flour a small scoop at a time (may not need all the flour).
Knead 8 minutes in mixer.
Remove from mixer and put on lightly greased cutting board and hand knead lightly.
Put into lightly greased bowl turn over to grease the top.
Cover and let rise until doubled. Punch down and form into loaves.

Put into lightly greased pans, cover, and land let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
