Ice Cream Social 
Join us for a free Ice Cream Social and Internet Safety Presentation, hosted by Rep. William C. Kortz's office, being held in the Library Program Room for all to attend.  



Tuesday, August 7 from 7-8 p.m.

Family Karaoke Nigh
All ages Welcome!  Come and sing your heart out to your favorite tunes!



Friday, August 10 @ 10:15 a.m.

Musical Movie Matinee 
Join us in the Library program room for the last musical movie for the summer!  Come and watch this musical inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, starring Hugh Jackman. Can you guess what it is?  Come in and find out! (Rated PG)



Saturday, August 11 - All Day Event

Pleasant Hills Community Day 
Look for our Wizard of Oz themed float in the parade, and be sure to visit our booth at the festival in Mowry Park!

The Scribe Sanctuary - Special Author Visit
Join the Scribe Sanctuary (A Creative Writers Group) for a special event they have arranged to welcome special guest, Tara Bailey.  Tara is a published author and also Chief Executive Officer of Bailey Publishing House, located in Pittsburgh, Pa. Maker Mondays 
This month's craft is make your own sea glass wind chimes.
There will be a $10 fee to cover the cost of all supplies. Please register by

Music On the Lawn 
join us for our last concert of the summer, as we welcome back special our special musical guests, The Pink Flamingo's!  They have been rocking our lawn all summer long 
with their family friendly, festive tunes!  Bring your own chairs and blankets, 
we will provide the snacks. Hope to see you there!



Monday, August 27 @ 10 a.m.

Bagels and Book Thyme 
A new, monthly book club held at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market Cafe, in Southland Shopping Center.  This months book selection: A Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan.This book takes us to the Australian Outback, for a fictional account of an American woman's spiritual odyssey through outback of Australia. A few copies will be available at the front desk of the Pleasant Hills Library for anyone who wants to participate.

Meet the Mayor
You're cordially invited to join us at the library for a special meet and greet with the Mayor of Pleasant Hills, William Trimbath.  Light refreshments will be provided.
